A new lawsuit has been filed against Ali Aliyev, the convicted chairman of the Citizenship and Development Party (CDP).
This time Aliyev is charged under the Article 127.2.3 of the Criminal Code (deliberate infliction of bodily harm). In particular, he is charged with beating a cellmate, the CDP reported. Ali Aliyev denies the accusation, calling it fabricated and politically motivated.
This is the fourth lawsuit against Aliyev. The party believes that in this way the authorities want to isolate him for a long time because of the harsh criticism of the authorities.
