Member of the opposition party Azerbaijan Popular Front Party (APFP), Karabakh war veteran Ismayil Rasulov has been released by Baku Court of Appeal, as reported by lawyer Asabali Mustafayev. Ismayil Rasulov was detained on August 24. He was sentenced to 30-day administrative detention by Garadagh District Court on August 25 on charges of resisting the police.

According to the lawyer, their appeal against Garadagh district court’s decision was granted by the Court of Appeal, and group-2 Karabakh war disabled Ismayil Rasulov was released in the courtroom.

Asabali Mustafayev believes that media reports and strong reactions and criticisms on social networks to the frame-up against the Karabakh veteran have been instrumental in his release.
