[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Activist of the Party of People’s Front of Azerbaijan (PPFA) Elnur Hasanov was charged under Article 234.4.3 (large-scale drug trafficking) of the Criminal Code. This was reported to Turan by the state-appointed lawyer Rafael Allahverdiyev.
According to him, Hasanov denies the accusation. The lawyer did not have information when the court would consider the police’s request for deciding a preventive measure against Hasanov.
Recall that the activist was detained two days ago by police in civilian clothes at the car market. This happened after Hasanov criticized the traffic police on social networks, accusing them of unjustified application of fines. He also criticized the authorities of the country where the laws do not work.
The PPFA believes that Hasanov is being held accountable precisely for this criticism.
