Radio Azadliq’s Broadcast over Turksat Satellite Stopped


According to Radio Azadliq (Radio Liberty’s Azerbaijani Service), Radio Azadliq’s daily program Azadliq A-Live aired at 8 pm every day has been taken off air by Kanal V, which is broadcasted over the Turksat Satellite.

According to the Radio, the official letter received from Kanal V does not explain the reasons for taking Azadliq A-LIVE off air.

However, Radio Azadliq declared that it would continue its TV and radio programs to ensure the public’s right to receive independent news ahead of the upcoming referendum of September 26.

Radio Azadliq finally noted that viewers would be able to watch Azadliq A-LIVE at the same time every day, at 8 pm Baku time, on AzadliqRadiosu Facebook page and Youtube channel, website and via RFE/RL APP on smart TVs.
