[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]The Baku Court of Appeal on Thursday rejected a complaint against the administrative arrest of Kenan Zeynalov, a bodyguard on a voluntary basis of the chairman of the Popular Front Party of Azerbaijan (PFPA) Ali Kerimli. Zeynalov himself called his arrest a “political order.”
During the proceedings, lawyer Fahraddin Mehdiyev asked the court to change the decision on arrest, taking into account the identity of Zeynalov as a participant in the first Karabakh war.
However, the Court of Appeal upheld the decision on the arrest of Zeynalov for 30 days, issued on October 5 by the Surakhani Court of Baku. He was found guilty under the following Articles of the Code of Administrative Misconduct: 535.1 (disobeying the lawful demands of the police) and 510 (disorderly conduct.)[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
