The World Movement for Democracy has announced that it is joining an international campaign demanding the immediate release of Dr. Gubad Ibadoglu.
The charges against him are groundless, and his detention is apparently aimed at curbing activities that the regime perceives as threatening its corrupt interests, as well as sending a frightening signal to Azerbaijan’s already vulnerable civil society and independent media, the statement said.
