Three detainees during today’s action in the center of Baku demanding the release of Saleh Rustamov were released after being fined.
In particular, Tofig Yagublu, a member of the National Council of Democratic Forces and the Musavat Party, and activists of the Popular Front Party Kenan Zeynalov and Babek Hasanov were fined 400 manats.
They are accused of “violating the quarantine regime.”
In total, according to human rights activists, 30 people were detained. The fate of the rest is still unknown.
In turn, the official representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Elshad Hajiyev said that the police stopped an attempt at an unauthorized rally in the center of Baku.
“The attempt was stopped, these persons were removed from the territory. Several people who did not comply with the legal requirements of the law enforcement officers were detained and, after a warning, released,” Hajiyev said.
