[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]On the evening of November 20, Ulvi Hasanli was charged under Art. 206.3.2 (smuggling of foreign currency by a group of persons by prior conspiracy) of the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan. Lawyer Zibeyda Sadigova told reporters about this. He has been brought in as a suspect and will be placed in a pre-trial detention cell.
Hasanli pleaded not guilty and called the accusation unfounded.
“When money was found in the Abzas Media office – 40 thousand euros, he said that this money did not belong to him and he did not see it. “Unfortunately, he was charged with this,” the lawyer said.
In all likelihood, on November 21, the court will consider the issue of choosing a preventive measure in the form of arrest against Hasanli.
