Today, 11 February, ANS television channel recording group was allegedly subjected to physical pressure.
According to ANS, ANS crew went to Khirdalan at 4:30 p.m. to cover the fire incident at high current electric substation when a group of people who introduced themselves as “Azerenerji” OSS guards wanted to distance ANS employees from the site of the incident. Correspondent Anar Gafarov and operator Polad Orujov allegedly faced physical pressure by the same people. Therefore, the video-camera belonging to the television channel was broken.
Although the Institute for Reporters` Freedom and Safety called “Azerenerji” OSS several times to learn their stance regarding this issue, nobody answered these calls.

“Azerenerji” OSS Vise-president Majid Aliyev told the ANS TV that the responsible people were punished and fired from their positions, and compensation will be paid for any financial losses.
