Azadlig newspaper’s Nakhchivan correspondent Yafaz Hasanov has received an anonymous threat over the phone.
Hasanov reported that he answered a call from telephone number (012) 4930114, a number he didn’t know. “The caller first asked my name, then began to insult me. He said that I couldn’t hide from them- that they would track me down and kill me. He made threats against my family, and demanded that I leave the country,” Hasanov added that recently he has been being followed by a Jeep automobile, with number plate “90 DP 625”.
“After this happened, I had to leave Nakhchivan and go to Baku to continue my work as a journalist,” said Hasanov, who will be appealing to the National Security Ministry and the Ministry of the Interior.
