Azadliq newspaper staff protests in front of Gasid press distributor’s office building

Today, on January 22, the staff of Azadliq newspaper held a protest in front of the office building of Gasid press distribution firm. The reason for the protest was the firm’s refusal to pay 70,000 AZN it owes to the newspaper for the sold copies. The newspaper staff demands payment of the debt.

Head of the Gasid firm, Yeni Azerbaijan party MP Mirkazim Kazimov told the protesters that the firm is unable to pay the debt. He suggested the newspaper’s management to temporarily stop giving newspapers for sale letting the firm, in the meantime, to seek ways for repayment.
