The Council of State Support to NGOs under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan unveiled results of the first financial aid to NGOs in 2010. According to the Council, 489 projects were submitted in the contest and a decision was issued to allocate financial aid to 199 organizations in the amount of 1.155.090 AZN.
The four journalist organizations that also received financial aid are – the Media Rights Center Public Union, the Media Development Center Public Union, the Yeni Nesil Journalists Union, and the Yeni Fikir Journalist Solidarity Public Union.
