
The Institute for Reporters’ Freedom and Safety (IRFS) was told this by Media Rights Institute’s project coordinator Khalid Agaliyev. According to Agaliyev, a decision was adopted in February and an appeal will be filed against the verdict once it is presented.
An information inquiry was sent to the National TV and Radio Council (NTRC) where questions regarding the methodology of monitoring on TV and Radio were put forth, and legal normative acts regulating this monitoring was requested. NTRC did not fully answer the questions addressed in the information inquiry and stated that the monitoring is regulated by legislation.
