Today (May 20) a court hearing scheduled to take place in the Yasamal District Court under the chairmanship of Judge Khagani Tagiyev on businessman Eldar Mammedaliyev’s lawsuit against “Tegigat” Newspaper for insult to honor and dignity and libel was postponed at the defendants request.
The next hearing on this case is now scheduled to take place 5 June 2008 on 4:30 p.m.
Recall that this lawsuit stems for the article "Black boys black operations in Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan," published in the 20-30 December 2007 edition of "Tehgigat" Newspaper. The plaintiff is seeking the publication of a refutation, and the institution of a 10,000 AZN fine against the newspaper.
