DEMOKRAT PHOTO REPORTER QUESTIONED AT POLICE DEPARTMENT FOR 8 HOURS

Yesterday, April 26th, Demokrat newspaper photo reporter Elchin Hidayat was summoned by telephone to Binagadi District Police Office Police Station 5, the reporter told IRFS

 “I stayed in police station for 8 hours. I was received by station head Jabrayil Valiyev. I was questioned on the 17 April protest, its organizers, and the aims of the protest.” Hidayat added that he had been advised not to post articles or calls for protests on Facebook. The police chief also advised him to join the ruling YAP party.
Hidayat noted that during his interrogation, police employees took down some phone numbers from his phone, but he does not know whose they were.
