Imprisoned “Azadlig” Newspaper Editor-in-Chief Ganimat Zahid is not given newspapers to read.
Zahid’s wife Ayanda Mursaliyeva, who visited Zahid in Prison #17 on Sunday (June 8), told this to the Institute for Reporters’ Freedom and Safety.
“Ganimat doesn’t have any complaints about the situation in prison or about his health. He is concerned because he is not receiving newspapers. When he was held in Bayil Prison he was given newspapers, but he is not here (ed. Prison #17),” said Mursaliyeva. She added that G. Zahid is also concerned about “Azadlig” newspaper journalist Agil Khalil’s case.
