Yesterday (8 June) the imprisoned editor-in-chief of “Gundalik Azerbaijan” and “Realniy Azerbaijan” newspapers Eynulla Fatullayev was visited by his parents in Prison #12.
Fatullayev’s mother Gulshan Fatullayeva told this to the Institute for Reporters’ Freedom and Safety. According to her, Fatullayev inquired about the activities of the Committee to Protect Speech Freedom.
“During our meeting he asked about the activity of the Committee to Protect Speech Freedom and why they don’t conduct any actions or events dedicated to defending journalists,” Fatullayeva said. She added that Fatullayev did not complain about his health or prison conditions.
“He asked us to deliver some books to him. Next time we’ll take them to him,” Fatullayeva emphasized.
