"I don't believe the murderers of "Monitor” Magazine Editor-in-chief Elmar Huseynov will be found," E.Huseynov's wife Rushaniya Huseynova, who currently resides in Norway where she has political asylum, told "Media forum" website.
R. Huseynova said, "Azerbaijani government is not interested in solving this case. After I left for Norway I repeatedly contacted investigators and law enforcement organs that are responsible investigating Elmar's case. They always answered the same way, ‘The investigation continues, but there's no news so far.’”
According to R. Huseynova papers on this case are being prepared to send to the European Court of Human Rights. She added, "This is Azerbaijan's internal problem and the Azerbaijani government should be concerned about it."
Recall that Elmar Huseynov was murdered in the entryway to his apartment with a gunshot on 2 March 2005. The National Security Ministry is currently investigating this case, and those who murdered Huseynov and ordered the journalist’s murder remain at large.
