Today, 29 January, in the Azerbaijan Media Center, Institute for Peace and Democracy Director Leyla Yunus has unveiled the list of Judges who violated articles of the European Convention on the Defense of Human Rights in their verdicts (decisions).
IPD Director Leyla Yunus said that the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) issued 21 verdicts against Azerbaijan. The Institute for Peace and Democracy assessed 9 out of 21 verdicts. The names of 53 Judges were identified; the names of several judges were repeated 2 or 3 times.
The names of 6 judges from the first instance courts, 23 judges from the Appeals Court, 13 judges from the Supreme Court have been unveiled.
