As of today, the Institute for Reporters’ Freedom and Safety, is making its press center available for all types of events.
Previously the use of the facility limited to media-related events. However, recently a number of appeals have been received regarding holding other types of events in the press center. People note that they have appealed to several press centers to conduct press conferences, but have been turned away. Taking into consideration that this is stifling the flow of information and limiting public discourse on important topics, IRFS decided to create conditions in its press center for all events conducted in accordance with Azerbaijan’s legislation.
