Today, 8 April, Institute for Reporters’ Freedom and Safety (IRFS) representatives – Idrak Abbasov, Elnur Mammadov and Gambar Gambarov were called to the Nasimi District Police Department Police Unit #22.

On 8 October, during the operation held regarding the arrest of the Editor-in-chief of “Milli Yol” Newspaper and Poligon Information Agency (PIA.AZ) Shahin Agabeyli and his Deputy Radil Mammadov by the Ministry of İnternal Affairs. The representatives of the Institute for Reporters’ Freedom and Safety Idrak Abbasov, Elnur Mammadov and Ganbar Ganbarov, who witnessed Shahin Agabeyli’s arrest faced harassment by civil clothed persons, and their video-cameras and photo-cameras were forcefully taken from them and were confiscated. IRFS employee Elnur Mammadov was taken along üith SşAgabeyli but freed on the road. İRFS representatives appealed to the Ministry of İnternal Affairs and an investigation is being carried out into the case in the police unit #22.
