Today journalists were forced to leave the Military Court of Grave Crimes.
Judge Islam Nemanov banned the journalists from attending the trial, Bizim Yol newspaper employee Haji Zeynalov told IRFS. Along with Azadlig employee Ayten Mammadova and Yeni Musavat employee Elchan Balakjanli, he had been kicked out of the trial. This was the criminal trial for the murder of Deputy Defense Minister, Air Forces and Air Defense Commander general-lieutenant Rail Rzayev, who was shot dead in Baku on February 11th, 2009.
“When the hearing began, the judge asked us to identify ourselves, so we showed him our press cards. Then without citing any reason, we were forced out of the courtroom,” said Zeynalov.
Deputy Defense Minister, Air Forces and Air Defense Commander, general-lieutenant Rail Rzayev was shot dead in Baku on 11 February, 2009.
