LAWSUIT FILED AGAINST POEM PUBLISHED IN “SENET” NEWSPAPER NOT FULFILLED

Today (30 April) a hearing on the lawsuit of Shusha Resident Fyodr Maharramov against “Senet” newspaper journalist Raset Prisoy was concluded in the Binegedi District Court, under the chairmanship of Judge Svetlana Ismayilova.

The court revealed the expert opinion of the Nizami Literature and linguistic Institute. Recall that Prisoy’s poem was sent for examination, to determine whether it contained anything that insulted the dignity of Fyodr Maharramov. It is noted in the opinion that the poem is written in an appropriate language and there is nothing about Fyodr Maharramov in the poem. After this, both sides made their final speeches and said that they maintain their positions.
After deliberations, the judge read the decision. According to the decision, the lawsuit against Prisoy wasn’t fulfilled.
Recall that a neighborly conflict arose between Fyodr Maharramov and Raset Pirisoy. After this conflict Pirisoy wrote the poems called “Petka” and “Fedka,” and published them in “Senet” Newspaper. In connection with this, Maharramov appealed to the court claiming that the poem was about him and he was insulted. He wanted Pirisoy to apologize.
