On 24 February, Yusif Garayev, a member of the Control and Inspection Commission of Shaki branch of Musavat Party, was arrested on charges of disobedience to a legal requirement of the police. He was sentenced to 25 days of administrative detention by the decision of Shaki City Court, Musavat Party reports.
Recall that, Yusif Garayev hosted a regional meeting of Musavat Party, attended by the Party’s Board members Elman Fattah and Ikram Israfil, in his house on 19 February. Musavat’s Shaki city branch believes that the activist has been arrested specifically for providing a venue for the meeting in his home.
