Abulfaz Bunyadov, one of the people arrested in connection with the incidents that took place in Nardaran village of Baku on 26 November 2015, has been released, lawyer Yalchin Imanov said on 22 December.
According to Imanov, Nasimi District Court heard the investigating authority’s petition to release Abulfaz Bunyadov. The court granted the petition and freed the Nardaran prisoner.

Until his release, he received treatment in the Treatment Facility of the Penitentiary Service of the Ministry of Justice. Two of the people killed during the Nardaran incident were his cousins. Bunyadov’s uncle and another cousin are still behind bars.

The trial of Muslim Union Movement chairman Taleh Bagirzade, APFP deputy chairman Fuad Gahramanli and 16 other people arrested in connection with the Nardaran events is underway in Baku Grave Crimes Court.
