“NOTA” NEWSPAPER EDITOR-IN-CHIEF SUBSTITUTE SUES TWO MINISTERS

"Nota" Newspaper Editor-in-chief Substitute Sardar Alibayli has sued Labor and Social Security of Population Minister Fuzuli Alakbarov and Education Minister Misir Mardanov for not responding to information inquiry. The Institute for Reporters’ Freedom and Safety was told this by Sardar Alibeyli.

“A while ago an appeal was made to the Press Council in connection with two articles published in “Nota” newspaper about the ministries, and as a result “Nota” Newspaper’s name was included on the list of the racketeering newspapers,” said S.Alibeyli emphasizing that prior to those articles an information inquiry had been sent to both ministries. However, the ministries failed to respond to the information inquiries and therefore S.Alibeyli appealed to the Nasimi District Court in connection with Labor and Social Security of Population Minister Fuzuli Alakbarov and to the Narimanov District Court regarding Education Minister Misir Mardanov.
