Political activist Taleh Nasibov has been arrested, as reported by Chairman of Musavat Party’s Shirvan Regional Branch Alikram Khurshudov.
According to Alikram Khurshudov, Taleh Nasibov has been arrested for objecting over the coldness of the water in the pool in Shirvan City Olympic Complex.
Taleh Nasibov was charged with minor hooliganism and sentenced by Shirvan Regional Court to administrative imprisonment for 5 days.
Taleh Nasibov, who is held in custody at Shirvan City Police Department, has started a hunger strike in protest at his arrest.
Alikram Khurshudov added that Taleh Nasibov, a Shirvan resident working as a doctor for
Hajigabul regional hospital, has been subjected to repeated harassment and pressure by the chief physician of Hajigabul hospital, a deputy head of the regional executive authority, and the regional police chief.
