RELIGIOUS INTERNET RADIO OPENED IN AZERBAIJAN

Religious Faith and Conscience Freedom Center (RFCFC) has launched a religious radio station on the internet.

According to “qaynar.info” news site, this is the first religious radio station in Azerbaijan. According to the report, “Juma” mosque imam, RFCFC Chairman Ilgar Ibrahimoglu leads the radio station, which has opened in connection with the holy month of Ramadan. 

 

The Institute for Reporters’ Freedom and Safety contacted Ibrahimoglu to confirm the report. He said that an internet radio station called “Intizar” has been functioning in the website www.deyerler.org  since 1 September, and after technical problems are solved an official opening ceremony will take place. This ceremony could occur as soon as Friday of this week.
