The Institute for Reporters’ Freedom and Safety appealed to Baku City Executive Administration about the removal of satellite TV antennas from 8 Rashid Behbudov St., where IRFS ‘ office is located.
IRFS learned that although the people removing the antennas identified themselves as representatives of the Baku City Executive Administration, they introduced no documentation. According to a response letter from the Sabail District Executive Administration signed by department director E. Yehyayev, the satellite TV antennas, which were large and which were placed without any permission, were removed during restoration work. At the same time, in the letter it is noted that once the restorative work is finished, the placement of satellite TV antennas on the roof of 8 Rashid Behbudov St. can be considered.
