“Azadlig" Newspaper correspondent Agil Khalil told the Institute for Reporters' Freedom and Safety that he and his lawyer Elchin Sadigov have filed a petition.
In the petition they seek copies of the documents on the criminal case about the attack on Khalil, and also ask to add the video material and photos that reflect his injuries to the case materials. Khalil told the Institute for Reporters’ Freedom and Safety that, "Although I went to the police department to submit the petition in written form I couldn't find either the Chief of the Department, his assistant or the investigator. But I am planning to contact the police department in the evening. Either today or tomorrow I will submit the petition."
