Yesterday (28 April) military journalist Uzeyir Jafarov, also known for working at the now shuttered “Gundalik Azerbayjan” Newspaper, went to the Binegedi district police department #7 in connection with the arson attack his “VAZ-2107” car.
Jafarov told the Institute for Reporters’ Freedom and Safety, “Yesterday I met with Investigator Abulfat Hasanov and Chief of the Department Jeyhun Huseynov. They told me that the residents of the area were interrogated. I think they do this for appearances only.
There are no prospects for the solving of this case.”
