Political analyst of "Zerkalo" Newspaper Rauf Mirgadirov has been awarded to Gerd Bucerius' "Free Press of Eastern Europe" prize for his service in development of the free press.
According to today's edition of "Zerkalo" Newspaper, the ceremony for presentation of the prize will be held in June in Hamburg City.
The award is given jointly by the German Fund "Zeit-Shtiftung" and Norway Fund "Free Speech". In 2007 "Turan" News Agency was awarded this prize.
