44 APPEALS IN CONNECTION WITH AZERBAIJAN AT COMMUNICATION LEVEL IN EUROPEAN COURT OF HUMAN RIGHTS

44 appeals in connection with Azerbaijan are at the communication level in the European Court of Human Rights.

According to “Azadlig” newspaper, appeals on these 44 cases are mostly connected with violation of different articles of the European Convention “On Defense of Human Rights and Basic Freedoms.” The European Court of Human Rights has already informed Azerbaijani Government of these appeals and is waiting for the government’s response.
The names of imprisoned Editor-in-chief of “Gundalik Azerbaijan” and “Realniy Azerbaijan” Newspapers Eynulla Fatullayev, “Yeni Musavat” Newspaper Editor-in-chief Rauf Arifoglu and “Gaya” Press Distribution Director Khanhuseyn Aliyev are among the plaintiffs.
