National Deputy and member of the ruling Yeni Azerbaijan Party Ahad Abiyev is going to sue “Yeni Musavat” newspaper.
“Yeni Musavat” Newspaper Editor-in-chief Rauf Arifoglu told this to the Institute for Reporters’ Freedom and Safety. According to Arifglu, Abiyev claims that his opinions in his interview to the newspaper were misrepresented.
Arifoglu stated that they are not the least concerned about Abiyev’s lawsuit against the newspaper. He also emphasized that there’s no distortion in the interview with Abiyev that was published in the newspaper and they still have the audio recording of the interview in the editorial office.
