The Executive Secretary of the ruling Yeni Azerbaijan Party Ali Ahmadov considers the Freedom House’s annual report on the situation of speech freedom in the world, particularly the part about Azerbaijan, unfair.
According to “Trend” News Agency, Ahmadov said that the report is not objective.
Recall that yesterday (29 April) Freedom House revealed its annual report on speech freedom. 195 countries are represented in the report; in 72 countries press freedom exists, in 64 countries the press is not free and in the remaining 59 countries press is relatively free. Azerbaijan was ranked 168th place on the list; that is to say, Azerbaijan is listed as a country with no press freedom.
