The Anti-Corruption General Directorate under the Prosecutor General has launched a criminal case against Anaxeber.az over the alleged dissemination of commercial secret about Baku International Sea Trade Port.
Editor-in-chief of the website, Azer Talibov, stated that Baku International Sea Trade Port is a state agency and the disseminated information is a corruption fact, not a commercial secret.
“It is very sad that the Anti-Corruption General Directorate has launched the criminal case not into the corruption facts in Baku International Sea Trade Port, but against the media outlet investigating these corruption facts. I believe that it is an attack on the media with an obvious purpose of hiding corruption facts,” the chief editor said.
Azer Talibov further noted that he had been summoned and interrogated by the Anti-Corruption General Directorate several times, but such instances could not divert Anaxeber.az from its path.
