ANS TV employees face pressure

On November 13th, ANS TV correspondent Elgiz Nabili and cameraman Tabdiz Hajiyev were pressured by police while they were preparing a video reportage at the Koroglu Metro Station in Baku, as reported by Elgiz Nabili.

The shops of several entrepreneurs near the Koroglu Metro Station were closed in connection with reconstruction work at the station. However after the completion of the repair work, the shops were not returned to their original owners, but given to other people. The journalists were investigating this information when they were forced to leave the area of the metro station.

According to Nabili, they did not sustain serious bodily injuries: “They were pushing us and demanding that we leave the area”.
