International Human Rights Organization Freedom House unveiled its annual “Freedom in the World” report on the situation of freedom in the world.
As it was last year, Azerbaijan received a downward trend arrow as a country “not free” and is rated 154th. Political Rights in the country scored 6 (free countries received 1) and Civil Liberties scored 5. Azerbaijan’s neighbors Georgia and Armenia have been evaluated as “partially free” countries and listed 118 and 141 accordingly.
The situation in Kazakhstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Belarus and Uzbekistan is worse than in Azerbaijan.
