Today the police detained a correspondent and a video operator of the German TV channel ZDF TV.
They were detained while they were meeting with residents who have been evicted from the Flag Square area (near to the new Eurovision Hall), and are currently living near “Dostlug” cinema. The residents themselves reported the incident to IRFS; according to them, the journalists had been taking photos of their current housing.
The journalists were taken to Nasimi District Police Office. An employee of the police office said that they had taken photos of the US embassy. “The journalists will be released after the case has been clarified,” said the on-duty police officer to Turan agency.
