Blogger Elmar Aziz was summoned to the Pirallakhi district police department of Baku on 1 December. The reason for this was a video he had circulated about the traffic police officers.
Note that earlier Aziz had told local media that on 30 November he made a video in Gala village where road police officers were taking bribes from drivers. He shared the video on facebook.
In the Pirallahi police department, and later in the Baku Police Headquarters, he was pressured and forced to delete the video, demanding not to tell about it. However, Aziz told the media about the incident, and today he and his parents were again summoned to the Pirallahi district police station.
In turn, the head of the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Elshad Hajiyev, told Turan that the information about the delivery of Elmar Aziz’s parents to the police is not true.
According to him, Aziz himself was invited to the police investigation of his own complaint.
