BURGLARS WHO ROBBED “UCH NOGTA” NEWSPAPER NOT FOUND YET

The investigation in connection with burglary at the editorial office of “Uch Nogta” newspaper continues.

Yasamal District Police Department Investigator Bahruz Mammadov told this to the Institute for Reporters’ Freedom and Safety. “We receive the statements of people living and working in the neighborhood,” said Mammadov. “Blood signs taken from the scene of the incident have been sent for examination. The investigation will be concluded in the near future, and the ones committing this crime will be punished.”
However, “Uch Nogta” Newspaper Editor-in-chief Khoshgadam Hidayetgizi told IRFS that they haven’t been told anything about the investigation. “As the editor-in-chief, I have never been interrogated. Therefore I doubt that the investigation is being carried out into the case,” said Hidayatgizi.
On 10 December "Uch Nogta" Newspaper's editorial office was burglarized. Five computer monitors and one printer were stolen. An investigation began into the case in the Yasamal District Court in connection with this case.
