Today, 13 April, in the Yasamal District Court, under the chairmanship of Judge Khagani Ismayilov, a hearing was held on the civil format lawsuit of Baku State Economy and Humanity College Director Bilman Valiyev against Gundelik Baku newspaper.
Defendant Gundelik Baku Newspaper Founder and Editor-in-chief Habil Valiyev and his lawyer Zaur Ibadov, and plaintiff Baku State Economy and Humanity College Director Bilman Valiyev and his lawyer Parvin Jabbarli partciapted in the hearing.
Lawyer Z.Ibadov filed a motion to appoint linguistic examination to determine if there were insulting elements in the articles in question.
The plaintiff’s lawyer P.Jabbarli said that she did not object to the motion.
The judge K.Mammadov fulfilled the motion and postponed the hearing indefinitely.
The plaintiff claims that his honor and dignity were damaged in the 19 articles in question that have been published since the end of 2009 and seeks for an apology and publication of a refutation from the defendants.
