Today, 15 June, is the anniversary of the death of Azerbaijan’s National Hero, ANS TV journalist Chingiz Mustafayev. 17 years have passed since that day.
Chingiz Mustafayev’s colleagues – ANS Company Group employees and his relatives gathered at his grave at Shahidlar Khiyabani (Martyrs' Alley) and shared memories about him.
The Institute for Reporters’ Freedom and Safety staff also paid a visit to C. Mustafayev’s grave and put flowers at his grave.
Chingiz Mustafayev died on 15 June 1992 from a shrapnel wound he sustained while filming combat in the Nakhchivanik Village in Agdam.
In 1993, C. Mustafayev was bestowed the honorary title “National Hero of Azerbaijan.”
