In yesterday’s press release (May 19), in the article “Court Hearing Postponed” it was erroneously reported that the court hearing that was postponed yesterday was related to the interrogation of “Azadlig” Newspaper correspondent Agil Khalil and his defense lawyer Elchin Sadigov for 12 hours.
The hearing that was postponed yesterday was actually on a lawsuit that Khalil and Sadigov filed against the Chief Prosecutor, Binegedi District Prosecutor, Chief Prosecutor Office’s Department for the Investigation of Grave Crimes, and investigator Ail Guliyev for their failure to institute a criminal case on the beating of Agil Khalil on 22 February 2008 in “Zeytun Baglari” (Olive Gardens).
