Today in the Yasamal District Court under the chairmanship of Judge Elchin Gurbanov court hearing on the lawsuit of “Azadlig Harakatchilari” Union Chairman Tahmasib Novruzov against “Azadlig” newspaper ended.
The judge, stating that the lawsuit was unfounded, read the decision he adopted not to fulfill the lawsuit.
Novruzov emphasized that he will file a complaint to the upper courts against the decision.
Recall that “Azadlig Harakatchilari” Union Chairman Tahmasib Novruzov, claiming that he was the founder of “Azadlig” Newspaper, put forth a lawsuit against “Azadlig” Newspaper. In the lawsuit, signed by Novruzov, the court was asked to adopt a decision to take the publication away from the current staff and return it to Azerbaijan’s Popular Front Party, and to institute a 150,000 AZN fine against the newspaper. The money from this fine would be used to fund the creation a special corner dedicated to the newspaper in 'Istiglal' Museum.
