“ELECTION MONITORING CENTER” LAWSUIT RETURNED TO APPELLATE COURT

Today (19 September) in the Supreme Court, under the chairmanship of judge Aslan Kalbaliyev, a hearing was held on the lawsuit filed against the decision issued by the Khatai District Court to annul “Election Monitoring Center” Public Union’s registration.

Election Monitoring Committee Public Union lawyer Ulviyya Tahmazli told this to the Institute for Reporters’ Freedom and Safety. According to Tahmazli, Judge Kalbaliyev sent the lawsuit to the Baku Appellate Court for reconsideration.

The Justice Ministry appealed to court to rescind the registration of Election Monitoring Committee Public Union and Khatai District Court fulfilled this lawsuit.
