Today, June 20, in the Yasamal District Court, under the chairmanship of Judge Khagani Tagiyev, a hearing was conducted on Defense Ministry Apartment Exploitation Department soldier Fardi Murselov's lawsuit against "Gundalik Baki" Newspaper for insult of honor and dignity.
During the hearing, Judge Tagiyev revealed his verdict on the case. According to his decision, “Gundalik Baki” Newspaper has been fined 200 AZN and must publish a refutation.
This lawsuit stemmed from the article "Mehman Hajiyev's Illegal Actions" in which libelous information was allegedly published about F. Mursalov. According to the lawsuit, F.Mursalov and his parents were concerned after reading this article and decided to take this step. Mursalov was seeking the publication of a refutation and the institution of a 50,000 AZN fine.
