Today, 30 April, in the Yasamal District Court, under the chairmanship of Judge Fuad Talishinski, a hearing was scheduled to be held on the lawsuit of "Ashrafi" LTD's Founder and director Ashraf Zeynalov to defend his honor and dignity against "Gundalik Baki" Newspaper.
The judge postponed the hearing until 21 May at 4:30 p.m. because the defendant came to the hearing one hour late.
The lawsuit stems from articles "Narcotics Itinerary in the South" published in the newspaper on 14 January 2009 and "Narcotics Itinerary in the South – 2" published in the newspaper on 22 January, 2009. The plaintiff is seeking the publication of a refutation, an apology from the newspaper, and 1 million AZN from the newspaper for each lawsuit for the company in compensation for moral damages.
