Today, 26 November, in the Yasamal District Court, under the chairmanship of Judge Khagani Tagiyev, a hearing was held on the special format lawsuit of Internal Minister Ramil Usubov against Femida 007 Newspaper Editor-in-chief Eyyub Karimov.
R.Usobov’s lawyer Alirza Abilov spoke during the hearing. Abilov said that Eyyub Karimov expressed opinions that humiliate the honor and dignity of police, and used libel against Ramil Usubov by accusing him under the articles of 180 (robbery), 181(plunder), 217(banditry), and 218 (creation of criminal union) of the Criminal Code.
E.Karimov asked the court for time to prepare to speak.
Judge K.Tagiyev scheduled the next hearing on this case for 7 December at 4:00 p.m.
Interior Minister Ramil Usubov filed a lawsuit against Eyyub Karimov under article 147.2 of the Criminal Code due to articles “Letter fancier,” and “NSM and Chief Prosecutor’s Office know well who ordered it,” which were published in Femida-007 newspaper; and “Internal Ministry inside and outside of the game” published in Azadlig newspaper.
