
The hearing was attended by Oruj Mirzayev, an officer of Binagady District Police Office #4, and Elnur Gasimov, who testified as a witness during the investigation. Oruj Mirzayev refused to answer the questions from Bayramli’s lawyer. The judge said that he did not have the authority to compel the witness to answer the questions.
The case will be opened again on June 8th at 2:15pm, and the witnesses will be questioned.
Bayramli was detained on February 17th by officers from Binagadi District Police Office #4, who reportedly found 4 milligrams of heroin in his pockets. He was charged under article 234.1 of the Criminal Code (illegal manufacturing, purchase, possession, transportation, transfer or selling of narcotics, and psychotropic substances).
